Meet the 2026 car: Radical SR3 XXR revealed

UWR steps into Radical Cup UK with a 232bhp sports prototype and a fresh livery.

UWR revealed its 2026 race car — a Radical SR3 XXR — ahead of a debut season in Radical Cup UK. Partners including Marshall Harmony joined students and staff for the launch.

The SR3 XXR is a 1.5-litre, 232bhp, two-seat sports prototype that revs to 10,000rpm and is the first Radical engine able to run on biofuel. It races in a large, professional one-make field — exactly the kind of environment UWR was created to put students into.

Same mission, new challenge

Shane Kelly drives, while the students own preparation, setup, data and trackside operations. The Morgan Plus Four programme continues in parallel in the BRSCC Clubsport Trophy, giving the team two cars and two championships.
