The story.
In early 2016 UWR took delivery of an ex-Fortec Dallara F308 with a Honda Mugen engine to race in MSV’s F3 Cup — the only university team in the championship. Over 18-round seasons at Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Donington, Snetterton, Oulton Park and Castle Combe, the students built a remarkable record.

Straight in at the sharp end
The team finished runner-up in its 2016 debut season, including a hat-trick at Donington, and was second again in 2017 — missing the title by a single point.
2018: two wins, five thirds
Despite an engine failure at Silverstone in June, the 2018 campaign delivered two wins, two seconds, five thirds and a Sunoco fastest-driver award for third overall on 326 points.
Champions
After a runner-up finish in 2019 and no championship in 2020, the team relaunched with a new livery at the Silverstone Interactive Museum in 2021 and clinched the F3 Cup class title at Snetterton after a triple class success at Donington.
