The story.
For 2025 UWR partnered with Peterborough-based Revolution Race Cars. Students assembled the Revolution 500 EVO at the factory, learning from the people who designed it, before racing it in the new Equipe Sports Prototypes series with Shane Kelly at the wheel. In return, Revolution gained access to the University’s prototyping facilities and machine shop.

A garage share at Spa
The two teams first met in early summer 2024 when they shared a garage at Spa-Francorchamps. By December the partnership was announced: factory placements, spares and trackside support for UWR; access to the University’s prototyping and machining capability for Revolution.
Launched at the NEC
The car and its livery were revealed at Autosport International on 9 January 2025 — the team has exhibited at the show every year since 2015 — alongside the first chassis from the Wolf RS project.
