The Morgan Plus Four programme delivered one of its best seasons yet in the BRSCC SW Motorsport Clubsport Trophy, with the team reporting three podiums from four rounds — including wins at Silverstone GP and Oulton Park.
The final round at Brands Hatch looked set to continue the run. The car qualified on the front row in P2, but the timing of a safety car worked against the team’s strategy and the race finished P5 in class, P8 overall.
A development car that wins
The Plus Four is more than a race car for UWR. Under the team’s works agreement with Morgan Motor Company, the students’ data and development work feeds back to the factory in Malvern. The move to the Clubsport Trophy in 2024 was made precisely to give the students more engineering freedom under power-to-weight rules — and 2026 showed what that freedom can produce.
