In 2021 Jack Birch was a third-year Motorsport Engineering student working on the newly revealed Morgan Plus Four race cars. In 2026 the team celebrated him reaching a number-one mechanic position in British F4 — one of the key feeder championships on the single-seater ladder.
It is exactly the trajectory UWR was built for. Graduates have gone on to McLaren, West Surrey Racing in the BTCC, Chris Dittman Racing in GB3, K-Tech, Formula 1 teams and Rolls-Royce.
